Metroid Prime 4: Beyond – Exploring Byrus on the Speedy Viola with Unique Abilities

Nintendo has revealed new details about the motorcycle featured in the latest Metroid Prime 4: Beyond trailer. This vehicle marks a first for the Metroid series and will allow Samus Aran to traverse the mysterious planet Byrus swiftly. According to a new post on Nintendo Japan’s website, the motorcycle is named the “Viola.” Nintendo confirmed that the Viola offers unique abilities to engage enemies and destroy environmental objects during exploration. The Viola’s confirmed abilities include: Boost: Activates a speed boost that can knock enemies away and break minerals. Power Slide: Allows Samus to slide sideways at high speed, destroying multiple enemies, minerals, and other objects in its path. Projectiles: Fires tracking projectiles that can lock onto up to five enemies simultaneously and return after impact. Samus can summon the Viola in any open area within Metroid Prime 4: Beyond. Dismounting returns her to her standard perspective, allowing for continued exploration on foot. However, the motorcycle will not be available in all locations, requiring Samus to explore in her Morph Ball form or on foot in certain areas.
