Sonic Racing: Crossworlds Expands with Mega Man and More Characters

Sega unveiled new content for Sonic Racing: Crossworlds during Sony’s State of Play event, announcing Mega Man as the newest recruit in the game’s season pass. A new trailer showcased Mega Man and Proto Man as playable racers. The trailer also revealed the character’s trusty sidekick, Rush, debuting as the “Rush Roadster” vehicle, alongside a brand-new Mega Man-themed track. The Digital Deluxe Edition of Sonic Racing: Crossworlds is currently available for pre-order, offering immediate early access to the full game on Nintendo Switch, Switch OLED Model, and Switch Lite. This edition also includes additional playable characters from Netflix’s Sonic Prime, Hatsune Miku, and a season pass with guest stars including Pac-Man, Minecraft, SpongeBob, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Avatar. The Standard Edition is priced at $39.99, while the Digital Deluxe Edition costs $49.99. Sonic Racing: Crossworlds officially launches worldwide on September 25, 2025. “Console Version 2” will be available for preorder at a later date, with a digital release scheduled for the end of this year and a physical release in early 2026. A paid update plan will allow existing Switch owners to transfer their data and progress to this console version during updates.
