This pre-patch, now available on PC and Mac, introduces several new features. Children can now enjoy a new hangout spot: the playground. Additionally, a new activity called “Imagine Playthings” allows Sims children to engage in imaginative scenarios, either solo or with other Sims. The available themes for Imagine Playthings are Fairy Tale Castle, Dinette, Explore Space, Shipwreck on an Island, and Pirate Adventure, each accompanied by corresponding visual effects. The update also adds a new filter to assist players in finding locations when planning events, and a “Raw” color option is now available for wide-brimmed hats in Create a Sim. The update also brings changes for players who own specific packs. Those with the To Life, To Death pack will experience improved gains in Souls Path, while owners of The Paradisiacs pack will receive an Oceanic Cradle coffin. Console players can expect this update, encompassing both the new content and pack adjustments, to become available on September 23rd.

Enhanced Performance Awaits in The Sims 4 with Memory Boost and Bug Fixes (Sept. 23rd)

On September 23rd, PC users will also gain access to a new “Memory Boost” option. This feature is designed to enhance game performance by optimizing memory usage, thereby reducing lag, boosting frame rates, and helping prevent crashes related to memory issues. Players can enable Memory Boost via the “Other” tab in the game’s options. Maxis encourages users to test this feature and provide feedback ahead of its worldwide release.
