FromSoftware has released update 1.01.3 for Elden Ring, which includes balance adjustments and bug fixes. Among these updates is a strengthened version of the boss Adel, Baron of the Night.
Players who encounter the Lord of the Night unexpectedly may face a significantly more powerful boss than usual, one capable of defeating an entire adventuring party in a single strike. These enhanced versions of endgame bosses are referred to as “Everdark Sovereigns” and will undergo near-weekly rotations. In Adel’s case, his lightning attacks are even more devastating than normal.
Beyond the inherent challenge, defeating these opponents grants access to Sovereign Sigils, a new currency that can be exchanged for powerful relics at a new NPC located in the central hub. Players also have the option to use these sigils to “purchase” a random event during their next playthrough.
