Peak, a collaboration between Aggro Crab and Landfall Studios under the Landcrab banner, has achieved remarkable sales success on Steam. Since its launch on June 16, 2025, the game has sold nearly 10 million copies. Among independent games released this year, only R.E.P.O., with 16.8 million sales, has surpassed Peak’s performance. Landcrab initially adopted a strategy to keep Peak a static game, with no further planned updates after its release. However, the game’s unexpected popularity prompted a significant shift in development focus. The studio is now concentrating on stability improvements, bug fixes, and potential new expansions. Peak’s sales trajectory was rapid from the outset, selling 1 million copies in its first six days, reaching 3 million in nine days, and surpassing 5 million within its first month.

Peak Sales Soar Past 6.9 Million During Promotion Week, Total Revenue Surpasses 55 Million on Steam

The game experienced a significant surge in sales between August 11 and 17. During this week, Peak sold close to 2 million copies, driven by an August 11 update and a 38% price reduction. The update introduced new content, including a desert biome, sunscreen, aloe vera, umbrellas, cannons, dynamite, cosmetics, and emblems. This period propelled Peak to the top of Steam’s bestsellers list for the week, with over 500,000 copies sold during that weekend alone. The promotion week generated over 6.9 million in revenue, contributing to Peak’s total revenue, which has now exceeded 55 million.
