It has already been a month since the release of Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, and Warhorse Studios has outlined numerous updates to keep players engaged with the picturesque Czech countryside setting. A roadmap has been revealed, indicating that the first major update is scheduled to arrive at the end of this month. This timing allows the Czech studio to host a livestream event where they will detail what will be included in Patch 1.4, which is set for release at the end of March. Notably, one feature to look forward to is the introduction of a barber service, which was available from the start in the original Kingdom Come but absent in its sequel. This feature will become accessible within a few weeks, and we have already received a preview. Players can expect various hairstyles, including those reminiscent of mules, as well as options for facial hair such as mustaches or beards, providing everything needed to enhance Henry of Skalice’s appearance further.
A Hardcore mode will be introduced with patch 1.4, which was also showcased during a recent livestream. As implied by its name, this mode offers an even more challenging and realistic gameplay experience. In-game, players will no longer appear on the map, necessitating navigation through environmental observation rather than reliance on maps. Additionally, any encounters with hostile entities will force players to engage without the option to escape. Furthermore, there is an option to implement a feature where non-player characters (NPCs) not only attack but also loot players upon spotting them, adding another layer of difficulty and realism to the gameplay experience.
