One of the most anticipated and exciting French projects of recent years is Clair Obscur Expedition 33, which now offers us an opportunity to delve into its music and the creative process behind it. Through two videos, we gain insight into the musical composition process of this original soundtrack, created by Lorien Testard. He also expresses his deep love for video games and their music, a passion that has been with him throughout his life. Additionally, we are introduced to the main musical theme of the game, performed by Alice Duport-Percier, a vocal singer and composer whom Lorien Testard contacted during the COVID period to collaborate on this project. We even get to see a short video excerpt from the work.
Lorien Testard announces today the primary focus of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. “We recorded and filmed an orchestral version of Alicia over a remarkable three-day session,” he states. He expresses sincere gratitude for the support and listening from fans. It brings him great pleasure to know that their music resonates with listeners.
The release of Clair Obscur Expedition 33 is scheduled for April 24, 2025, on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
