Following the release of hands-on previews for Assassin’s Creed Shadows, Ubisoft also shared the Story Trailer, which narrates the fate of the two characters players will embody in this episode set in Japan: Naoe and Yasuke. Each character is introduced separately, knowing that at the start of their adventure, everything separates them. However, tragic events will inevitably bring them closer, making them an inseparable team. Despite being a foreigner who arrived in Japan like a hair in soup, Yasuke becomes one of Oda Nobunaga’s henchmen, according to Ubisoft’s narrative. Meanwhile, Naoe must become a shinobi acting in the shadows to avenge her father’s death. Each will have their strengths and weaknesses, and it is the complementarity of these two protagonists that will make the game interesting.
The release of Assassin’s Creed Shadows is anticipated on March 20, 2025, for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
