We were aware that Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Conan the Barbarian was scheduled to follow Ghostface (Scream), and it is now a reality. The studio NetherRealm has indeed released a fairly comprehensive gameplay video showcasing how this guest character will perform against the series’ other fighters. Beyond his imposing stature, our Cimmerian possesses the advantage of wielding a spear, which he uses effectively. This enables him to have a long reach on opponents, capable of performing sword sweeps, launching them into the air, or even blocking certain attacks with the force of his body and counter-attacking immediately afterward. In this video, we see his Fatality, Brutality, and Animality where he transforms into a bull to gore his enemies with his horn. It is intense and well-received. Conan the Barbarian will join the roster of Mortal Kombat 1 on January 21, 2025, for Khaos Reigns extension owners and January 28 for other players. We note that the next and final DLC character will be solely the T-1000 from Terminator 2.
