It is challenging to stand out among the numerous announcements during the Game Awards, but Tactical Adventures remains unperturbed, and their new French studio game received recognition during Geoff Keighley’s ceremony. During this event, their upcoming game, Solasta 2, was unveiled along with a trailer and screenshots. This title serves as the sequel to Solasta: Crown of The Magister, an old-school CRPG featuring turn-based combat that was released in 2021. In 2025, players can expect its follow-up, which will be available through Early Access and include a playable demo early in the year. Mathieu Girard, the creative director of the game, is delighted to share this news with the world.
Our team of 35 individuals combines strong skills with a passion for creating immersive and innovative gaming experiences. With our first game, we initiated a success story on Kickstarter. Based on the entire ruleset of SRD 5.1, we created a tactical RPG that attracted over 1.5 million players. Today, with Solasta II, we push even further, surpassing past limitations and introducing a new approach to tactical depth, fun, and accessibility. Players will explore Neokos, a magic-rich continent with vast landscapes, and uncover unprecedented lore, facing the growing power of Shadwyn, a charismatic villain driven by an unyielding will to regain her lost power.
This project is driven by ambition, respect for our players, and a shared belief in the strength of what we are building together. We are excited to share Solasta II with them and look forward to receiving their initial feedback!
The game is set several decades after the events of the first episode and takes place on the high fantasy continent of Neokos. As corruption spreads across the continent, a group of fighters rises to challenge this threat in order to preserve the world. The French studio has specified that their game is developed using Unreal Engine 5.
The main features include:
Complete Group Customization and Management: Players will have the ability to create and develop their own party of four adventurers, each fully voiced with unique skills and abilities that can be customized.
