With over 25 million copies sold, Elden Ring has become a significant phenomenon that FromSoftware and Bandai Namco Entertainment intend to capitalize on further. Although the DLC “Shadow of the Erdtree” garnered substantial attention among Game of the Year nominees, news has emerged of an upcoming installment titled Nightreign, which takes a different approach. This new release will be a multiplayer game scheduled for 2025, enabling up to three players to engage in PvE team play on maps that players are already becoming familiar with.
The game will unfold over a three-day cycle, with each day concluding in a confrontation with a boss. It is assumed that the difficulty has been calibrated based on this collaborative effort, as players can choose from eight distinct characters, each possessing unique abilities. Each session will culminate during the third night when they must confront a Night Lord. An important detail: each game over will enable players to acquire relics that are conducive to enhancing and customizing their heroes according to their playstyles.
The release of Elden Ring’s Nightreign expansion is scheduled for 2025 on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, and Xbox One.
