It was already known that the PC version of Stellar Blade was scheduled by Shift Up studio. However, during its third-quarter results presentation, the Korean studio provided additional details, confirming that this version will be released in 2025. With over a million copies sold within its first two months on PS5, Stellar Blade has been successful for the Korean company. The company anticipates even stronger sales on PC. It draws upon the pharaoh-like success of Black Myth Wukong, which sold 20 million copies in just 15 days, to predict a positive outcome for Stellar Blade as well. The studio is banking particularly on both the local Korean market and the growing interest from new Chinese audiences.
In the meantime, Stellar Blade can count on NieR Automata to renew player interest through an upcoming DLC scheduled for November 20th of next year. Players will have the opportunity to enjoy exclusive costumes that transform Eve into either 2B or A2, thanks to Emil and his mobile shop, which includes 11 unique items from this collaboration between Stellar Blade’s game director, Kim Hyung Tae, and NieR Automata’s Yoko Taro. Both directors share a mutual respect for the artistic and human portrayal of women.
