Unveiled just a few days ago, prior to the start of the Tokyo Game Show 2024, Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii has already released two new videos. Naturally, the title is one of SEGA’s flagship games at the Japanese show and it is being presented there. While no hands-on gameplay was available, promotional materials were used to explain the game, its combat system, and also to highlight the city of Hawaii, previously featured in last year’s Infinite Wealth episode. It should be noted that SEGA reuses assets as much as possible; however, the portrayal of Hawaii is quite successful. The second video showcases how Goro Majima can switch between his two combat styles: Mad Dog and Sea Dog. Both remain equally swift, tense, and violent, which fits the nature of a Yakuza game. His attacks are of unparalleled brutality, perfectly in sync with the character’s madness.
