The impressive performances of Black Myth Wukong continue to astonish. As we approach its month of commercialization, it has been reported that Game Science’s title has just surpassed 20 million in sales. This is a significant achievement, though it is noteworthy that the majority of these sales are attributed to the Chinese public who have embraced this first major AAA game from China. According to Daniel Camilo, a gaming analyst based in Shenzhen, China, approximately 70% of the sales were made within China. As previously announced, a DLC is currently in development and its release date has reportedly been set for late January 2025, coinciding with the Chinese New Year. Notably, Black Myth Wukong was released during the Year of the Monkey, which held strong symbolic significance for the developers who aimed to leverage this celestial alignment for success, an objective they have evidently achieved.
