Given the enthusiasm surrounding its release, Stellar Blade has exceeded one million copies sold worldwide. This milestone was reached within just two months since its availability on April 26, 2024. The news was announced by Shift Up Studio during a press conference dedicated to its IPO, where it shared initial financial results. For the Korean studio, this marks an upward trend as it used the event to unveil its roadmap for extending Stellar Blade’s longevity further. Kim Hyung-tae, both CEO of the studio and game director for the title, disclosed plans to introduce paid content likely through collaborations with other licenses following several free updates aimed at attracting players with engaging incentives. Currently, details include Photo mode arriving in August, new skins planned for October, and a potential DLC release as well. In light of this success, Sony Interactive Entertainment has expressed openness towards a PC release of Stellar Blade. As they say, wait and see.
