Two months after Peacemaker was added, it’s now Ermac’s turn to join the roster of Mortal Kombat 1. To access this equally mystical and cryptic fighter, players will need to purchase him as a downloadable content (DLC) character, which will be available starting April 16th. On this occasion, NetherRealm Studios released a gameplay video introducing the character, showcasing his evolution since MK11, and highlighting how well his new look fits him. Ermac’s uniqueness stems from his combat style and capabilities, particularly because he is an unpredictable character. Using black magic, he can employ telekinesis, abuse teleportation, and even summon souls to grab, lift, and strike opponents on the ground.
The trailer also offers the first look at Mavado, a new Kombatant Kameo available as downloadable content (DLC) who can assist players during battles. Mavado will be accessible through the Kombat Pack as well as individual purchase in May 2024.
