A recent conference focused on the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet franchise, revealing exciting updates for upcoming and recent game releases. Among these announcements, a major summer event for the ninth-generation titles is now underway.

Summer Rare Chromatic Chongjian Event Unfolds in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Games

This summer is packed with action in the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet games. At the latest Pokemon Presents, the development team revealed details about a four-part event featuring super rare creatures. The first of these, a shiny Chongjian, became available on July 23rd in five-star Terracristal raids. Chongjian, a Pokémon already scarce in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, is a Plant-type with the Wood Plague talent. This special Terracristal Raid event offers a unique opportunity to obtain its chromatic (shiny) form. Players have until August 3rd to capture this shiny Chongjian before Baojian, Dinglu, and Yuyu become available in subsequent event phases. Nintendo, The Pokémon Company, and Game Freak shared this information.

Recover Chromatic Curses in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet: Collect One Million Wins in Terracristal Raids (August 8 – September 35, 2025)

Players of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet have the opportunity to recover Chromatic Curses. To unlock these, the gaming community must collectively achieve one million wins in Terracristal raids. If this feat is accomplished, players can retrieve them from August 8th to September 30th, 2025. Retrieving these Curses requires a Nintendo Switch Online subscription and an active internet connection. To do so, navigate to the Poke Portal menu from the main screen of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, select “Receive Poke Portal News,” and then “Mystery Gifts.” From August 8th, 2025, players can request their Curses via the internet.
