The Neo Geo AES, a memorable console from the 90s, is set to return just in time for Christmas. SNK and Plaion have announced that preorders are now open for the Neo Geo AES, which will be available in three editions and is scheduled for release on November 12th. The most affordable edition is priced at $249.99 and includes the console and a black wired arcade stick.

The Neo Geo AES Anniversary Edition, a special release celebrating the console’s 35th anniversary, features an all-white finish while retaining the original’s classic design and arcade feel with modern enhancements. This system plays games directly from both new and old cartridges for an authentic retro gaming experience, eschewing emulation or FPGA technology. According to Plaion, the console is powered by its original ASIC chips, restructured to modern standards to accurately replicate the original hardware and software.
