Phase 2 of Season 2, “Twilight,” for Battlefield 6 and its spinoff, Battlefield Redsec, launched on March 17, 2026. Season 2 is titled “Nightfall.” “Nightfall” introduces the infantry-only Hagental Base map, designed for close-quarters combat. Pax Armata has seized Hagental Base, a former NATO site used for satellite operations and special forces training for underground warfare. The update includes a “Nightfall” variant of Hagental Base, plunging the battlefield into near-total darkness, turning sound and intuition into crucial survival tools. This version of the map features blacked-out corridors, encouraging players to use the low-light conditions for flanking and tactical maneuvers. Players can equip Night Vision Goggles to balance the odds. The update also debuts the Darkness Modifier and a limited-time mode called “Gauntlet: Nightfall,” which features elimination gameplay where players have only one life per round, and the last squad standing wins. “Gauntlet: Nightfall” also includes specific operations (Vendetta, Contract) tailored to Hagental Base’s layout. Night Vision Goggles are essential in this mode. The Darkness Modifier significantly alters existing game modes: 1. Team Deathmatch: The darkened environment makes kills more challenging, and enemies respawn constantly. 2. Squad Deathmatch: Squad performance is readily visible to all players.
