Netflix is expanding the anime Pokémon Horizons with new episodes, though the rollout will vary by region. In Portugal, Season 1 (45 episodes) is currently available. Starting February 27th, Netflix will add 44 episodes comprising Season 2: The Search for Laqua. In the first arc of this season, Liko, Roy, and Dot enroll in the Orange Academy to learn about the Terastal phenomenon, traveling to locations in Paldea familiar to players of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet for Tera training against Gym Leaders. The second arc, beginning with episode 23, focuses on the Rising Volt Tacklers’ efforts to reach Laqua. In territories like Brazil and the United States, more episodes will arrive on March 20th. Pokémon Horizons Season 3, titled Rising Hopes in some localized versions, will debut on that date with 39 episodes.

Season 3 marks the 30th anniversary of the Pokémon franchise, and Netflix is celebrating with new adventures. Liko, Roy, and their friends continue their journey aboard the Brave Olivine airship, honing their skills and forging deeper connections with new Pokémon. This season focuses on Ult, a new ally whose quest to connect with the mysterious Pokémon inside his Dusk Ball propels the team forward as they explore the Laquium region. Netflix released several images offering a sneak peek at the new season, highlighting key characters and their partner Pokémon: Liko with Meowscarada, Ult with Sableye, Iono with Bellibolt, and Amethio with Armarouge and Corviknight. Dot is pictured clutching a Tera Orb, and Charcadet is seen riding Terapagos, hinting at the challenges and discoveries to come in Laquium. This season revolves around the Rising Volt Tacklers as they explore the secrets of Laquium, driven by Ult’s mission to connect with the Pokémon in his Dusk Ball. Conflict will arise as the Explorers team clashes with the Rising Volt Tacklers. In promotional material shared by Netflix, glimpses of the anime’s cast and their partner Pokémon were revealed, including Liko with Meowscarada, Ult with Sableye, Kuwassu with Quaquaval, Friede, and Captain Pikachu.

Pokémon Horizons Season 3: New Adventures Await in Netflix Soon

The Pokémon Company is celebrating its 30th anniversary with events like a live-action Super Bowl commercial featuring Trevor Noah, Jisoo, and Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, as well as new games and Lego sets. Netflix has not yet confirmed whether these episodes will be available in Portugal on March 20th. Fans can look forward to new episodes of Pokémon Horizons arriving on Netflix soon, continuing the adventures of Liko, Roy, and their companions.
