This post appeared just hours after Rockstar Games unveiled the official Grand Theft Auto 6 cover on June 18th, aligning with the “X before GTA 6” meme. The White House’s action drew mixed reactions online, with some users appreciating the humor and others criticizing it as propaganda. Concerns were also raised about potential copyright infringement. The White House was not the only government entity to engage with the Grand Theft Auto 6 reveal. The Department of Labor and Customs and Border Protection (CBP) also shared their own versions of GTA-style covers on the same day. The CBP’s social media featured an AI-generated image of agents, a helicopter, and a border scene, seemingly to promote border security policies.
