Fatal Fury: City of Wolves – SNK Confirms Arrival of Ken the Survivor, First Trailer

SNK confirmed today that Kenshiro (Ken the Survivor) from Fist of the North Star (Hokuto no Ken) will appear in Fatal Fury: City of Wolves as a DLC character. The reveal occurred during AnimeJapan 2026 in Osaka with the release of a first-look video. The announcement coincides with the premiere of a new Fist of the North Star anime in April 2026 on Tokyo MX and BS11. This modernized anime, based on the post-apocalyptic world created by Buronson and Tetsuo Hara, aims to promote new franchise initiatives. The series will premiere with a double episode on April 11 at 1:00 a.m. JST (April 10), with episodes three and four following on April 17. It will stream worldwide on Amazon Prime Video. The new creditless opening movie for the anime features Alexandros’ theme song, “Hallelujah.”

Fatal Fury: City of Wolves – Kenshiro Joins Season Pass 2 as DLC, Integrating Hokuto Shinken Style Gameplay

Kenshiro will join Fatal Fury: City of Wolves as the sixth DLC fighter in Season Pass 2, scheduled for release in June 2026. While the video revealed Kenshiro modeled in the game engine, it did not include any gameplay footage. His precise combat style, based on Hokuto Shinken, raises questions about gameplay and how it will integrate into the faster pace and modern mechanics of Fatal Fury. The integration could either result in a uniquely satisfying character or disrupt the game’s balance. Season Pass 2 is now available for $19.99 and includes Kim Jae Hoon, Nightmare Geese, Blue Mary, Wolfgang Krauser, and two mystery characters, in addition to Kenshiro. Before Kenshiro’s arrival, Wolfgang Krauser and another mystery character, possibly Ryo Sakazaki as Mr. Karate, will become available. Blue Mary was released in March as a DLC character in Fatal Fury: City of Wolves. Fatal Fury: City of Wolves is currently available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
