Saros Director Refuses to Discuss PC Version

Despite Sony’s recent history of porting games to PC, the release of Saros on that platform is now highly unlikely. In an interview with Game Informer, game director Gregory Louden declined to comment on a potential PC version, stating, “Today we’re only speaking about Saros and its launch on PlayStation 5.” Louden’s response, coupled with recent reports of a possible shift in Sony’s PC strategy, suggests a change in direction for the company. Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier has reported that Sony is reconsidering its approach to PC releases, with speculation that recent PC ports have not met the company’s sales expectations. Bloomberg adds that Sony may now focus on its PlayStation ecosystem, ensuring major titles remain console exclusives—particularly as Microsoft embraces releasing games on competing platforms. This change in strategy could affect titles like Ghost of Tsushima, Insomniac Games’ Marvel’s Wolverine, and Saros. Notably, Returnal, a previous game from the studio, was released on PC two years after its PlayStation 5 debut. Schreier also reported that Sony has canceled the PC port for Ghost of Yotei. Whether Sony will give Saros a similar PC release remains uncertain, given these potential policy changes.
