Hades 2, the sequel to Supergiant Games’ acclaimed roguelike, is coming to Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 on April 14. The game will be available through the digital stores of both consoles and accessible to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers at no extra cost. Like the original, Hades 2 has garnered considerable praise. Hades 2 retains the core gameplay of traversing dungeons, battling enemies, and acquiring random upgrades within a Greek mythology-inspired underworld. Supergiant Games has refined the lauded elements of the first game to create a fresh experience where players repeatedly strive to improve and delve deeper. Prior to this console release, Hades 2 was available in Early Access on PC, followed by a full release for Nintendo Switch and PC on September 25, 2025. The Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 versions will run at a smooth 120 frames per second. Console players can immediately access the most polished version of the game, complete with all patches released for PC and Switch, along with additional content and user-friendly upgrades. Players on PC and Switch will receive the same enhancements via an update on April 14. Notably, Hades 2 will not be released on PS4 and Xbox One.
