Samsung Unveils New Galaxy A57 and A37

Samsung has officially announced the Galaxy A57 5G and Galaxy A37 5G, the latest additions to its midrange series, with a focus on integrating “Awesome Intelligence” to make AI tools more accessible. Samsung revealed a sneak peek of the devices on March 25th, and they are scheduled to hit stores in Portugal on April 10th. Details regarding availability in the USA have not yet been announced. Equipped with One UI 8.5, based on Android 16, both smartphones offer AI functionalities previously exclusive to high-end devices. Key software innovations include Voice Transcription, for transcribing and translating audio calls or messages, and AI Selection, which streamlines text extraction and file management in split-screen mode. While both models share a similar design, 6.7-inch 120Hz AMOLED screens, 5,000mAh batteries, and triple camera setups, the A57 5G includes more advanced specifications than the A37 5G. These phones succeed last year’s Galaxy A56 5G and Galaxy A36 5G.

Image editing is enhanced by an improved Object Eraser and the Circle to Search with Google feature. The Galaxy A57 5G exclusively features Best Face, ideal for group photos, and Auto Crop for video editing. For daily use, the phones provide optimized Bixby assistance and strong AI Gemini integration. According to Samsung, the Galaxy A57 5G is currently the most powerful device in the Galaxy A series. Both models feature a 6.7-inch FHD screen at 120Hz (Super AMOLED on the A57 5G and Super AMOLED on the A37 5G). They also feature a primary 50 MP Wide sensor (F1.8), supported by enhanced image processing using Nightography technology for low-light environments, and an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. A 5000mAh battery provides up to two days of battery life, and the Super Fast Charging 2.0 system enables charging to 60% in 30 minutes. For gamers, the A57 5G incorporates a vapor cooling chamber that is 13% larger than previous models, for improved cooling during extended gaming sessions. Samsung promises up to six generations of OS updates and six years of security updates, protected by Knox Vault, for device longevity. Recommended prices are as follows:
