HBO Max turns its attention to cult comedy and European drama, complemented by live sports, in late March 2026. On March 22, 2026, HBO Max will premiere a new version of John Galsworthy’s The Forsyte Saga, starring Lisa Kudrow. This adaptation differs from the original, which debuted in the UK on Channel 5 on October 20, 2025, and in the US on PBS on March 22, 2026. The updated series follows Jolyon Forsyte (Danny Griffin) as he navigates conflicts with his cousin Soames (Joshua Orpin) and the return of his lover Louisa (Eleanor Tomlinson). Also premiering that week is The Count of Monte Cristo, based on Alexandre Dumas’ novel. British viewers saw an early release on U and UDrama on August 2, 2025. Sam Claflin stars as Edmond Dantes. Titled The Faithful, the series will also air on PBS Passport, Prime Video’s PBS Masterpiece Channel, and as part of PBS’s Masterpiece in March 2026. It is currently unknown if another series with the same title will also debut on HBO Max that month.

The Comeback returns for its third season on March 23rd, with Lisa Kudrow reprising her role. Twenty years after its original debut, Kudrow returns as Valerie Cherish, promising the same sharp satire of the entertainment industry that earned the show multiple Emmy nominations. The platform shifts gears on March 27th with Privileges, a new French thriller about Adele (Manon Bresch), a reclusive young woman who takes a job as a messenger at the opulent Hotel Citadel. Under the hotel director (Melvil Poupaud), what initially seems like a chance at redemption quickly turns into a struggle for survival, as Adele becomes trapped in a dangerous web of manipulation and power. For sports enthusiasts, the week includes the World Artistic Skating Championships and the Volta a Catalunya in cycling, both taking place throughout the week and concluding with the FIA WEC endurance racing events over the weekend.
