Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Unveils New Cast and Teaser Trailer

The countdown to Sonic the Hedgehog 4 has begun, with the official release date set for March 19, 2027, according to a tweet from the movie’s official account, @SonicMovie. Ben Schwartz will return as Sonic, Idris Elba as Knuckles, Colleen O’Shaughnessey as Tails, Keanu Reeves as Shadow, and James Marsden and Tika Sumpter as Tom and Maddie Wachowski. Perhaps surprisingly, Jim Carrey is also back as Dr. Robotnik, despite the events of Sonic the Hedgehog 3. New additions to the cast include Ben Kingsley, Nick Offerman, Richard Ayoade, and Matt Berry, though their roles are currently unknown. Kristen Bell will voice Amy Rose, and the film’s logo features a pink number four, hinting at her character’s significant role. The introduction of Amy Rose has also fueled speculation about a possible alternate timeline in which Eggman remains alive and in control—a theory supported by unused artwork from Sonic the Hedgehog 3.
