The Nintendo Switch 2, slated for release in June 2025, builds upon the foundation of the original Nintendo Switch, which revolutionized gaming in 2017. The new console allows players to access nearly all games from its predecessor, providing access to almost a decade of Pokémon titles, along with new releases. Through the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack service, the Nintendo Switch 2 positions itself as a comprehensive platform for experiencing various Nintendo franchises. The Nintendo Switch 2 will soon feature two classic Pokémon games, FireRed and LeafGreen, originally released for the Game Boy Advance in 2004. These titles are remakes of the first games in the franchise, Pokémon Red and Blue, set in the Kanto region. With these additions, the Nintendo Switch 2 will offer over 20 playable Pokémon titles, accessible through various means: natively, via the Nintendo Switch Online service, or through the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack. Titles include the exclusive Pokémon Pokopia, the upcoming FireRed and LeafGreen versions, and XD: Gale of Darkness, recently added to the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack service.

In addition to Pokémon, Deadzone: Rogue, a fast-paced shooter with roguelike elements, will be released on March 17, 2026. The game supports mouse controls for aiming and shooting, as well as online multiplayer.
