Capcom’s latest installment, Resident Evil: Requiem, has broken sales records, moving over six million units faster than any previous title in the franchise. Capcom announced that the game, which launched on February 27, has become the fastest in the series to reach this milestone, having already sold five million copies within its first five days. In Resident Evil: Requiem, players control Grace Ashcroft, whose segments focus on horror, and Leon S. Kennedy, whose segments emphasize action. Capcom has announced plans to provide ongoing support and additional content for the game, and has confirmed that an expansion, a photo mode, and a minigame are in development. To celebrate the Resident Evil series’ 30th anniversary on March 22, Capcom will make major announcements about the franchise’s future and host orchestral concerts in Japan, the US, and Europe. The company will also partner with Universal Studios Japan for a Resident Evil: Requiem collaboration in 2026.
