Bungie has released the complete patch notes for Marathon’s first major update. Patch 1.0.0.4, available now as of March 11, 2026, introduces balance adjustments for combat, game economy, and technical error corrections (Source: Bungie). This update includes the following changes: Combat and Gameplay Balance UESC bots now have slightly reduced base health and damage. Thermal scope effectiveness is adjusted for better encounter balance. The Overrun weapon magazine capacity is slightly increased. An issue causing instant death during confinement events is resolved. A bug causing continuous shield break screen effects when both healing and damage were active is fixed. Economy and Resource Adjustments The spawn rate of Med Cabinets and Munitions Crates increases on the Perimeter map. Free sponsored kits for MIDA, CyberAcme, and Arachne now provide more starting ammo. Quality of Life Improvements Objective marker radius doubles from 10 to 20 meters, improving visibility. UESC Grenadiers throw EMP grenades less often.

Technical Stability & Season Pass/Cosmetics Updates in Marathon Patch 1.0.0.4

The update fixes an issue where players could become stuck during the new player intro mission due to locked doors. Technical Stability Patch 1.0.0.4 resolves a rare server crash.
