Lawsuit Filed Against Former Epic Games Contractor for Fortnite Confidential Information Leak

Epic Games is suing Hayden Cohen (aka AdiraFNInfo), a former contractor, for allegedly sharing confidential information obtained during his employment. According to court documents released by Epic, Cohen, as an external collaborator, had access to internal systems and sensitive Fortnite-related details. Epic alleges that Cohen violated his nondisclosure agreement by disclosing this privileged information on the social media accounts AdiraFN and AdiraFNInfo. Epic Games emphasized that protecting confidential information is crucial for maintaining successful partnerships and content releases. The company served AdiraFNInfo with a cease-and-desist notice, demanding the return of any devices used to access Epic’s systems, as well as the identity of anyone else who may have received the confidential information. Epic is seeking monetary compensation for damages caused by the unauthorized disclosure of information and demanding that Cohen destroy all confidential information in his possession. This lawsuit follows Activision’s recent action against a Call of Duty leaker, suggesting a growing industry effort to combat unauthorized leaks. Epic Games believes that the information leaked by AdiraFNInfo could only have been accessed through employment with the company, and has initiated legal action to prevent future breaches of confidentiality.
