The Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) expansion Mega Evolution: Perfect Order will launch on March 27, 2026, but promotional cards will be available starting March 14 during prelaunch events. The Pokémon Company has revealed details about these early releases. Starting March 14, players can participate in events or play with friends using a 40-card Mega Evolution: Perfect Order deck, available early through the new Build Battle Box. This provides an opportunity to familiarize yourself with the new cards before future tournaments. Each Build Battle Box includes four Mega Evolution: Perfect Order booster packs and a ready-to-use 40-card deck composed of cards from previously released expansions. These 40-card decks will also be available during prerelease events and when the expansion officially releases at local game stores. Each Build Battle Box includes one of four special foil promo cards, featuring Serperior, Shaymin, Barbaracle, Landorus, Tyrantrum, or Doublade.

Perfect Order features over 120 new cards, including new Mega Evolution Pokémon ex, more than 25 new Trainer cards, and over 30 Pokémon and Trainer cards with special illustrations. Confirmed cards include Mega Zygarde ex—the Legendary Pokémon protecting Lumiose City—Mega Clefable ex, Mega Starmie ex, Meowth ex, and Mega Skarmory ex. A new card type, Telepath Psychic Energy, will also debut in this set. The Japanese Nihil Zero expansion, which Perfect Order localizes, contains the highly sought-after Mega Ultra Rare Mega Zygarde ex, and cards like Rosa’s Encouragement are also gaining traction in the secondary market. Sara Heritage Avatar recently reported on early preorders for Pokémon TCG: Mega Evolution: Perfect Order, connecting the set to the excitement around Mega Evolutions in Pokémon Legends: ZA and highlighting Mega Zygarde ex. Preorders are now live at various retailers. The Pokémon Center US offers products at the manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP), including exclusive Elite Trainer Boxes featuring a full-art foil promo card of Tyrunt. Walmart+ members can also access early preorders. TCGPlayer’s preorder prices are currently above MSRP. Best Buy and Amazon US listings are not yet available.
