Samsung has announced its latest Galaxy S26 lineup, featuring the S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra, which incorporates smarter, more intuitive AI designed to simplify everyday smartphone tasks, such as managing schedules, searching for information, and enhancing photos. Specifically, the Galaxy S26 Ultra incorporates the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Mobile Platform for Galaxy, which notably enhances CPU, GPU, and NPU speeds. The Galaxy S26 Ultra delivers a 19% increase in CPU performance, ensuring responsiveness and intelligence even when multitasking. Its NPU is 39% more efficient, maintaining consistent performance for AI-driven features, and the 24% increase in GPU performance enhances graphics and gaming. To maintain optimal temperatures, the S26 Ultra features a redesigned vapor chamber camera that distributes heat across a larger area, and it supports 60W ultrafast charging, reaching 75% charge in 30 minutes.

Once you’ve captured your content, the integrated AI-powered tools simplify photo and video editing, allowing for quick modifications without specialized design skills. The latest Photo Intelligence 11 enables users to request specific changes, such as altering the time of day or adding elements to an image. With the new Galaxy AI feature, users can also change clothing and remove stains. Creative Studio 12 consolidates these features, enabling users to create stickers, invitations, and wallpapers from sketches, photos, or ideas. The Galaxy S26 line simplifies common visual tasks using intelligent AI tools, such as converting documents into digital copies while correcting creases and smudges for clear scans. It also combines multiple images into a single PDF, which is ideal for digitizing pages, receipts, or notes. The AI works proactively to offer timely assistance, so users can focus on completing tasks. The Galaxy S26 provides smart suggestions, eliminating the need to search through albums or apps. For example, it can display relevant travel photos when prompted or identify scheduling conflicts during meeting discussions. The updated Now Brief feature provides personalized reminders, and Circulate for Google search recognizes multiple objects simultaneously.

Powered by Samsung Knox, the platform protects Galaxy devices from the chip level. The Personal Data Engine (PDE) customizes AI experiences while ensuring privacy, and Knox Enhanced Encryption Protection (KEEP) encrypts each app’s data. Knox Vault provides additional physical protection for sensitive information, giving users control over how AI features operate. These updates strengthen Galaxy’s security and privacy features, such as auto blockers, theft protection, private sharing, and secure WiFi. Samsung ensures long-term protection with seven years of updates, and the devices remain accessible even when out of reach. The Samsung Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra are available starting Wednesday, February 25, in a range of colors, including purple, white, black, blue, gold, and silver, sold online. Prices start at R 7,499 for the Galaxy S26, R 9,199 for the S26+, and R 11,499 for the S26 Ultra.
