Nintendo and The Pokémon Company have announced that Pokémon FireRed Version and LeafGreen Version will launch on Nintendo Switch on February 27. Nintendo Switch Online subscribers can now preview the soundtracks for these games via the Nintendo Music app on mobile devices. The soundtrack features 43 tracks, running for a total of one hour and six minutes. This release is part of the celebration for Pokémon’s 30th anniversary, and the soundtracks are available in English, French, and Spanish on the My Nintendo Store or Nintendo eShop. The Nintendo Music app offers a total of 64 tracks. According to Metacritic, the original games scored an 81. The Nintendo Switch versions are approximately 40 MB, allowing for easy download on iPhone or Android devices via the App Store or Google Play. A Nintendo Switch Online subscription is required to access the music. Physical editions of FireRed and LeafGreen, complete with a collectible set showcasing the three Kanto region starter Pokémon, will be available for purchase in Japan.
