Pokémon Celebrates 30th Anniversary with Presents, New Releases & More – February 27, 2026

The Pokémon Company has announced a Pokémon Presents broadcast for February 27, 2026, as part of the franchise’s 30th-anniversary celebration. The broadcast will begin at 6:00 a.m. PST, 2:00 p.m. GMT, or 3:00 p.m. CET and will be streamed on The Pokémon Company’s YouTube channel. The stream is expected to last at least 20 minutes. The event coincides with the anniversary of the original games’ release in Japan in 1996. Pokémon FireRed Version and LeafGreen Version will be available on Nintendo Switch starting February 27, 2026, immediately following the presentation. The first LEGO Pokémon sets will also become available on the same day. Also expected in 2026 is the launch of Pokémon Champions on Nintendo Switch, Android, and iOS. This new release aims to foster a competitive ecosystem for official series tournaments. Viewers anticipate announcements regarding new merchandise, updates on future events, and mobile app enhancements. Many also hope for a preview of the rumored Pokémon Wind and Pokémon Wave, speculated to be tenth-generation titles.
