Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage Debuts on Nintendo Switch 2 with Open Beta

The open beta for Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage on Nintendo Switch 2 is available to all players until February 24 at 2:59 PM GMT (3:59 PM European Time). Players need a Nintendo Switch Online subscription to download the beta directly from the Nintendo eShop. Sega is using this beta to conduct real-world tests of server stability and crossplay performance between Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Steam. Players on other platforms can enable crossplay in the full game to battle Nintendo Switch 2 players. For a stable experience during the beta test, a wired internet connection is recommended. The full version of Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage launches on Nintendo Switch 2 on March 26, 2026, for $19.99 USD. Players who link their SEGA Account and participate in the open beta will receive the in-game “Virtua Team” title when they purchase the full game.

Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage – Enhanced 30th Anniversary Edition Preorders Open with Exclusive Content & Crossplay Beta Available Until Feb 24

Preorders are now open for the digital and physical editions. The digital 30th Anniversary Edition includes exclusive content such as the Virtua Fighter 30th Anniversary Swimsuit Costume Set, Soundtrack Collection, Ranking Titles, Pre-Production Artwork, Legendary Pack DLC, and Yakuza Series Collaboration Pack DLC. Each paid DLC pack included in the 30th Anniversary Edition will also be available for individual digital purchase at launch. The physical edition includes a double-sided poster featuring cover art from both Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage and the original Virtua Fighter. For clarity, the open beta started on February 19th, a day later than initially announced, so players still have time to participate.
