Konami Digital Entertainment has announced Castlevania: Belmonts Curse. In this new installment, fans of all kinds can wield a variety of weapons and spells to battle enemies in a spooky adventure. The game encourages players to search every corner of the castle, rewarding thorough exploration. The iconic Vampire Killer whip returns, enhanced as both a combat tool and a means of traversal. Players can swing across areas to discover secret rooms and reach previously inaccessible locations, opening up new creative combat possibilities. Developed by Evil Empire Studios with game consulting from Motion Twin, Belmont’s Curse features a unique art style that offers a fresh take on the series’ signature gothic aesthetic, intended to immerse players in the Castlevania world. New areas are filled with secrets, puzzles, and traps. Set to release in 2026 for the series’ 40th anniversary, Castlevania: Belmonts Curse will feature a new generation of characters and expansive settings, rendered in classic 2D action-exploration style. Players will take on the role of Trevor Belmont’s successor, battling monsters in Paris to save the city from eternal darkness.
