Redesign and Reintroduction of Final Fantasy VII on Steam – Original Version Available for Current Owners

Square Enix is releasing a new version of Final Fantasy VII on Steam, renaming the current release to Final Fantasy VII 2013 Edition. With the update, the 2013 Edition will be removed from the Steam store. However, existing owners will retain access to it in their Steam library. The new version will be listed in the store as Final Fantasy VII. Current owners of the 2013 Edition will receive the new version free of charge, with both versions accessible in their Steam libraries. Please note that save data is not compatible between the two releases: save files from the 2013 Edition will only work with that edition, and saves from the new version will only work with the new version.
