Pre-Release Demo for Yakuza Kiwami 3: Dark Ties Announced

Sega and Ryu Ga Gotoku are preparing a playable demo of Yakuza Kiwami 3: Dark Ties, which will be available before the game’s release on February 12, 2026. Yakuza Kiwami 3 is a complete overhaul of the third game in the series, originally released in 2009. The developers are using the Dragon Engine, the same technology used for Yakuza Kiwami 2 and Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth. The Yakuza Kiwami 3: Dark Ties edition will be released on PC (though not available in the Russian section of Steam), PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2. At a recent press event, the PlayStation Blog announced that a demo for Yakuza Kiwami 3 is in development. Sega has not yet revealed the demo’s release date or the playable content it will include. It also remains unknown whether progress from the demo will carry over to the full version of Yakuza Kiwami 3: Dark Ties. The demo will give players an early preview of the game. While pre-launch demos have become less common in the industry, Sega’s decision to release one is a move that fans appreciate. More details are expected soon.
