Alinea Analytics reported that the game sold over 5 million copies. The game’s Hall of Fame leaderboard indicates that roughly 53.7 million players have engaged with the game. Upon its PlayStation 5 release in April 2025, Forza Horizon 5 quickly became a top pre-order seller in the U.S., Canada, and the UK. It sold 1.4 million copies within eight days, making it the fastest-selling Xbox game on the PlayStation platform. By the end of its first month, sales had surpassed 2 million. In July, Forza Horizon 5 even outsold major new releases like the latest Assassin’s Creed and Monster Hunter Wilds. These sales contributed to an estimated $600 million in revenue for Microsoft. Other Xbox titles released on the PS5 have not replicated this success.
