Asus Unveils Limited-Edition ROG Flow Z13 KJP Gaming Laptop – A Collaboration with Hideo Kojima and Yoji Shinkawa Inspired by Death Stranding’s Ludens Mascot

At CES 2026 in Las Vegas, Asus unveiled a range of new products, including the ROG Flow Z13 KJP, a limited-edition gaming PC created in collaboration with Hideo Kojima. The ROG Flow Z13 KJP boasts a black-and-gold color scheme inspired by Death Stranding, with designs on its back and underside reminiscent of the work of Yoji Shinkawa, the game’s art director. Shinkawa codesigned the sleek, 2-in-1 gaming tablet with angular CNC aluminum cuts, carbon fiber accents, and typography inspired by the Ludens mascot to embody its essence. The design evokes Death Stranding, extending to a white suitcase with bronze trim labeled as an “Extra Vehicular Creative Activity Device.” Asus will also release Kojima-themed accessories with similar designs, including the Delta II headset, Kersis II Origin mouse, and Scabbard II XXL mouse pad.

The custom case, power adapter, packaging, and an exclusive Armoury Crate theme reflect Kojima Productions’ unique style, with Shinkawa’s direct involvement ensuring artistic coherence and legitimacy. This design, along with the black-and-gold color scheme, industrial materials, carbon fiber, and cryptic inscriptions, recalls the world of Death Stranding. The slogans used by both companies—”For Those Who Dare” at ROG and “We Are Those Who Play” at Kojima Productions—reflect shared values of audacity, play, and experimentation. The ROG Flow Z13 KJP features high-end specifications, including a unified memory architecture with a 128GB pool, 16 Zen 5 CPU cores, and 40 RDNA 3.5 GPU compute units. It also boasts 50 TOPS of NPU power for local AI tasks. The 13.4-inch 2.5K Nebula Display offers 100% DCI-P3 color coverage and a 180Hz refresh rate. Additional features include an AMD Ryzen AI MAX 395 processor, Radeon 8060S GPU, XDNA NPU, advanced cooling with a steam chamber and liquid metal, and a detachable keyboard. The prominent AI presence in the laptop also reflects Kojima’s recurring themes of technology, human evolution, and the relationship between humans and machines.
