Riot Games has launched Valorant Season 2026 with a dark electropop rendition of Britney Spears’ “Toxic,” featuring emerging pop artist King Mala and K-pop artist Audrey Nuna. They transformed the 2000s classic into a melancholic electropop anthem with emotionally resonant vocals. The track accompanies the animated video “Why We Resist,” a story of revenge and ambition. The “Why We Resist” cinematic spotlights Viper, and the latest lore update reveals a developing relationship between Viper and Chamber. Valorant Season 2026 Act 1 began on January 7th, following the release of Patch 12.00. The update rolled out on January 6th at 6:00 AM PT for North America, LATAM, and Brazil servers, and on January 7th at 4:00 AM GMT for European servers.
