Genshin Impact’s “Luna IV: A Winter Traveler’s Journey” Introduces Columbina and Zibai

Hoyoverse’s popular action RPG, Genshin Impact, will launch its “Luna IV: A Traveler in a Winter Night” update on January 14, introducing new characters, storylines, and the annual Lantern Rite festival. The game is available on PS, Xbox, PC, Android, and iOS with cross-progression and multiplayer support, and is rated T for Teen. Version Luna IV features two new playable characters: Columbina, the Moon Dame, a Hydro Catalyst user specializing in lunar reaction-based support, and Zibai, an Adeptus from Liyue who wields a Geo Sword. Columbina can deal lunar damage even when off-field, and her Lunar Dominion skill significantly enhances lunar reactions, such as increased stormy clouds for lunar charge, more resources for lunar bloom, and increased attack count for lunar cage. She can also convert Hydro reactions into lunar reactions and revive allies in Nodkrai. Zibai’s Geo Sword attacks become stronger with each Lunar Crystallization reaction, a new elemental reaction introduced in this update. Genshin Impact’s Luna IV: The Doctor’s Power Unleashed – Chaos in Nodkrai

In Nodkrai, the Arknights mission is reaching its climax as tensions rise before a major confrontation with The Doctor. Dottore’s acquisition of stolen lunar spinal power fuels his research, leading to an inevitable showdown with the Traveler and their companions. Dottore uses this power to create a chaotic battle within a twisted domain. Upon completing this mission, the Traveler will receive a new outfit that reveals more about their past and their control over elemental energy. The first phase of the Luna IV Prayers will feature the return of Columbina and Ineffa. Subsequently, Zibai will become available, along with Ratniki Illuga, a new 4-star Geo character who wields a spear and fights alongside a messenger bird. Neuvillette will also return, and their new outfit will be available in the shop at a discounted price for a limited time. The expansion of Nodkrai reveals Pyramid, the Ratniki headquarters, Embla’s Pillar to the west, and Kipumaki Cliff, where the Fierce Hunt is underway. New world missions will allow players to team up with the Ratniki and Illuga to resist the Fierce Hunt.

Genshin Impact’s Luna IV Festival: Liyue Celebrations, Celestial Events, and Free Rewards

The annual Lantern Rite festival in Liyue offers festive activities and rewards. This year’s story ties into the Zhanzhu, the Moon Devourer celestial event, and explores the return of the reclusive Adeptus, White Horse, Zibai, to the mortal realm. During the festival, players can place and share Celestial Lanterns around Liyue Harbor, collect Fortune Coins from Treasure Tree spots for rewards, and participate in various minigames. The Luna IV update also offers free rewards, including 1,600 Primogems via in-game email, 10 Intertwined Fates through login events, a new outfit for Yaoyao through Lantern Rite events, and the opportunity to invite a free 4-star Liyue character. Special horse sets may be distributed via in-game email. The new Classic Mode in Miliastra Arcanums enables players to invite Teyvat friends on their adventures, and Surprise Boxes will unlock more content and support artisans.
