Smaller Nintendo Switch 2 Cartridges to Release R-Type Dimensions III Physically with Slight Price Increase

ININ Games has announced that R-Type Dimensions III for Nintendo Switch 2 will now be released as a full physical edition on a cartridge, rather than as a Game Key Card (a physical key for a digital download). This welcome change follows Nintendo’s recent unveiling of smaller cartridge sizes for the upcoming Switch 2. While technical details about these new cartridges are still pending, ININ Games has stated that this development allows them to produce the game on a physical cartridge instead of a key card, as initially planned. As a result, R-Type Dimensions III will be available as a complete physical release. Due to increased production costs, the European and US versions will see a slight price increase of approximately $10. However, ININ Games will honor the original price for customers who preordered the special edition. ININ Games also expressed their gratitude to the community for its vocal support of physical media, which helped make this physical release possible.
