Sega Expands Sonic Racing with Free and Paid Content in 2025 – New Characters, Scenarios, and Music Await

Sega is highlighting its franchises in Sonic Racing: Crossroads, an arcade racer featuring characters from various Sega properties. The game already includes characters from Hatsune Miku, Persona, and Yakuza. In December, NiGHTS will be added, bringing a custom kart and unique flair to the game. Additional content, including new scenarios and music, is planned for future updates. Following NiGHTS, AiAi from Super Monkey Ball will join in January, with Tangle and Whisper from Sonic arriving in February. All characters are available for free. The SpongeBob SquarePants Pack DLC, released on November 19, lets players race as SpongeBob and Patrick in Bikini Bottom, accompanied by music from the show. With both free and paid content planned, Sega is set to expand the game throughout 2025.
