Enthusiasts Restore Missing Content in FF Tactics Ivalice Chronicles Free PC Project

On September 30, 2025, Square Enix released FF Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles on PC and consoles. This tactical RPG spinoff, arriving during the Final Fantasy franchise’s 30th anniversary, features a deeper story, updated controls and gameplay, and new features. However, content from the PSP version is absent. A fan-driven restoration project is underway, with an initial draft currently available for free on PC.

Enhanced FF Tactics Ivalice Chronicles on PC Now Includes Balthier and Luso with War of the Lions Character Repair Mod

Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles delivers an enhanced tactical role-playing experience and a storyline on par with core Final Fantasy titles. Although the game does not include content from The War of the Lions (the PSP version), modders have addressed this by creating the War of the Lions Character Repair mod on Nexus Mods, which allows players to add Balthier and Luso to the game. This mod, currently available in English and only on PC, requires some effort to install. Specifically, players need the Reloaded II Loader from GitHub, which can be complex to set up, but functions effectively once installed.
