Nintendo’s Premium Vinyl Set for Breath of the Wild Soundtrack Hits Shelves June 19

Nintendo will release The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild soundtrack on vinyl through Laced Records, a notable shift for a company historically protective of its music catalog. The release, eight years after the game’s debut, follows comments to Variety from Nintendo of America’s Bill Trinen indicating the company’s interest in exploring the vinyl market. On June 19, Nintendo will offer two versions of the soundtrack in Western markets: a 2-LP set with 34 tracks for $41.95, and an 8-LP premium edition featuring 130 tracks for $167.95. According to Trinen, this release will gauge Western interest in physical media, potentially paving the way for more game soundtracks in the format.
