New Trailer Unveils Tales of Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake, Completing The Erdrick Trilogy

Square Enix has released a new trailer for the Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D remake, showcasing the stories of these classic JRPGs, which have been rebuilt using the same HD-2D style as last year’s Dragon Quest III. This remake completes The Erdrick Trilogy, bringing the first three Dragon Quest titles to a new generation of players. In Dragon Quest I, Erdrick saved Alefgard from the Lord of the Underworld. But years later, a descendant of Erdrick must once again save Alefgard, this time confronting the Dragonlord and his monster minions. Dragon Quest II continues the saga, set years after Erdrick’s heroic deeds, which earned his descendants the same legendary title. These descendants and their kin established three prosperous kingdoms during the ensuing peace. Now, a new darkness has emerged, plunging the world into shadow with a monster invasion. A group of young princes and princesses, all descendants of Erdrick, must now embark on a quest to thwart this evil. The Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake will be released on October 30th for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch Lite.
