New Hollow Knight Silksong Update (1.0.28891) Now Available on PC

Since its release on September 4, 2025, Hollow Knight Silksong has received continuous updates focusing on balancing and bug fixes. The newest update, version 1.0.28891, is currently available on PC and will be rolled out to other platforms shortly.

Hollow Knight Silksong Update 1.0.28891: Controller Improvements, Bug Fixes, and Gameplay Adjustments

This update primarily addresses bug fixes while also introducing several enhancements. Players can now use the PS5 DualSense controller on PC and other compatible platforms. Additionally, the game automatically pauses if a controller disconnects during gameplay. Further controller optimizations are planned for future patches. Gameplay adjustments include a slight increase in damage for some of Hornet’s moves, alongside reduced Storm Thread damage at higher Needle levels. The spawn rate of Fine Pins has increased by 50-100%, though a greater quantity is now required for associated quests. The update also addresses numerous bugs that could halt player progression.
