Celebrating 5 Years of Wild Rift: “Wild Rift x Worlds” Event Unveils Exclusive Rewards and “Wild Rounds: Smash” Community Competition

Riot Games celebrates the fifth anniversary of its mobile MOBA, Wild Rift, in October with the launch of Update 6.3, “Gloria Aurea.” This update introduces a range of new features and special surprises, alongside the “Wild Rift x Worlds” in-game event. The “Wild Rift x Worlds” event offers exclusive rewards, including a new Jarvan IV skin, all inspired by League of Legends esports players. Players can earn Wild Rift drops by watching Worlds broadcasts on official channels or through co-streamers. From November 14-16, 2025, Vietnam will host “Wild Rounds: Smash,” the game’s biggest community competition. Content creators from Brazil, China, South Korea, the Philippines, and Vietnam will gather to compete in 1v1 and 5v5 matches. Brazil’s “Wild Capivaras” team, consisting of Aspira, Pacheco, Emerok, Tealz, Shumas, and Piloniten, will represent their region, aiming for the title after finishing as runner-up last year. Wild Rift’s Gloria Aurea Update Introduces New Gameplay Elements, Runes, and Champion Additions

Update 6.3, “Gloria Aurea,” brings significant gameplay changes. The update tweaks runes to offer players more ways to enhance their champions. A key addition is the Essential Rune, Gloom Harvest, which permanently boosts its general damage by harvesting the souls of champions with less than half their health remaining. The update also introduces minor runes for Celerity, Arcanist of the Tenets, Unyielding, Followthrough, and Tyranny. It further includes support item changes and a new item called Radiant Virtue. Furthermore, a new game mode, Rift Rapid, challenges players to destroy the Nexus within a tight nine-minute timeframe. This update also expands the champion roster with Nidalee, Rell, and Kog’Maw, alongside visual and gameplay makeovers for Yuumi and Zyra, and the release of seven free skins.
